Zoanthids skirts lengthening

Hi,

I have a lot of Zoa colonies, none of which I know their trade names, or if they have any... I have noticed that the skirts (tentacles) on at least one colony have grown quite a bit longer since I first put them in the tank back in early May. They are doing perfectly well otherwise.

Is this common, and is there a known reason?

It's usually due to high water flow. Extended polyps usually means not enough light.

This. I have some with "normal" length skirts, and some with long skirts in higher flow areas
