I see all pretty zoanthids like Darth Mauls and Purple People Eaters and they are beautiful. Do zoanthids in the wild grow all these colors or are they selectively bred for all these varieties?

So being properly fed or specifically fed and lights bring out all those color varieties? What exactly is morphing? Most have these colors and some are morphs. When I dove a lot,I saw tons of them.Under water they look faded, but the only colors you see really well in blues and grays. Its when we add light (LEDs,halides etc...)That we bring the true colors out
Thank you.Proper lighting and over-all good husbandry will do that!Morphing is similar to evolving. Usually just a color change, however I have seen skirts go from short to long
So all these colorful varieties naturally happen in the wild?Actually i think when zoas come from the wild their colors are at it's best. They're nicer and brighter. In our tanks they sometimes loose some of the colors. I don't know of many zoas changing colors or morphing that much on peoples tanks. Well not that much anyways.
yes. Like for example a candy apple red on some people tanks might get a little yellow ring but the it looses it when it goes to another tank. But when i buy stuff from the wild the colors are crazy bright and i always loose some color. I don't know if it is because I suck or what but they never keep the color. So all these colorful varieties naturally happen in the wild?
