Why would a couple of zoo colonys close up out of the blue. Everything else is fine. The LPS's, ricordea and most other shrooms look great. Actually the rics are opened more than they ever have. I did loose about 4 or 5 fuzzy shrooms. They have looked great for months, then one day they closed up and look like crap. I did a water change and everything tests fine. No changes lately, that would have caused this.

sounds like something is irritating them. could there be algae build up on them ?? shake them around a bit under the water and see if that helps. i have to do that occasionally with some of my zoa and paly frags.

if that doesnt help, i would try inspecting them closely for something else irritating them.

No algae at all. I will look closer. I have added a couple new corals. I do have a few flatworms, but they have never caused this. I need to get some F. Exit, but been kind of busy lately.
