Hi my zoanthids are closed and have red spots in between the polyps. Does anyone know know why?

The red stuff may be cyano which can irritate zoas, I would take them out and brush them off with an extra-soft bristle toothbrush or something.

The weird thing is is that it is not on the other zoanthids on my combo rock

Cyano can be isolated, it depends on stuff like flow and lighting to dictate where it can pop up.

research 'Brown Algae " which is a zoathid disease/problem..look at circled polyps,,one has a pinched top,,the other two are getting pale with a brown film on them..do some research and move quickly .IF it is brown algae,,do some research and take care of it pronto..
