Hi everyone!

So I have been growing my zoa garden and everything has been going great until about a month ago.
I haven’t changed the lighting or flow (water parameters below).
My zoas are opening but not extending their tentacles. They do this for some weeks slowly getting smaller and eventually just wasting away.
I do feed with reefroids and oyster feast.
I’m wondering if maybe I’m missing some elements they really need?

This isn’t happening with all of them. Some are happy as can be. I don’t see any pox or bugs. The ones effected just open but don’t extend the tentacles and slowly get smaller and waste away. It is strange.

Photos below.
Water parameters
Sg 1.026
PH 8.1
Ca 462
Alk 7.8
Mg 1320
Phosphate.03

Running XR30G4 pro at about 40% on ab+
These are on the bottom and getting moderate par.

Please let me know if you know what I’m missing here!
Thanks

I've had the same thing. Have you switched salts or is the rodi filtration getting older? Change is salinity frequent?

I have been using Red Sea Coral Pro salt for years. Salinity is pretty constant. I do a 10% water change weekly.

Any spots or critters on at night
I have checked with the flashlight at night thinking the same thing. I do have a coral banded shrimp that occasionally runs over things and they close up but that is it. I have not seen any bugs or critters on them.

Hi Reefers! I just wanted to ping this again. I have looked every night and been watching closely for bugs. I have not seen anything. I have done some water changes. I have also started dosing some Iodine ( although I my parameters were pretty good when I tested). Still things have slowly been getting worse. The zoas are still open but getting noticeably smaller and kinda just wasting away. Could this be a light thing? They are pretty low in the tank. I thought zoas would reach for the light if it wasn't enough? Maybe too much? And again, I have a few other species of zoas immediately next to these that are just thriving. Any advice is appreciated!
