I figured I would post this since my problem seems to only be with my Z&Ps. For the past few days my zoas have been receding. Colonies that were growing just last week are now no longer opening and shrinking. Some polyps have flipped inside out. The only thing that has changed in the past two weeks is I started carbon dosing. I'm using a solution of vinegar and amino acids.

I was wondering if anyone has had this issue with soft corals in general after starting the vinegar dosing? Maybe someone knows if this normally causes this. Thanks!

Some zoas need phosphates and nitrates. If you carbon dose and your thank gets too clean some zoas will not be happy. I'm sure sps and montis look great. I started carbon dosing myself and I'm on my second week. I will let you know how everything goes.

How do we know which ones like them and which ones do not?

Is there a Thread on that Maybe?

Did you start Carbon Dosing an SPS Tank or your Normal 125 / 225 Zoanthid Tanks?

I use sugar for mine mix reef and my soft coral looking good...
