Zoas and GFO ?

I'm try to lower my phosphates and everytime I put GFO in my BRS reactor, my Zoas close up.

I have a 46gal and used less than a 1/8 cup and they reacted to it in less than 4 hours....

I love my Zoas so I turned the reactor off...

Has anyone else experienced this?

Suggestions?

We use seachem phosguard instead of gfo and zoas haven't had a issue with it. I had similar issues with gfo in the past when starting to use it.

Did you rinse the gfo first cause I didn't and it the dust lowered my alk so give that a check once my alk got back to level my zoas opened back up
