No. I know I should. I always qt my fish but never worried about corals. Lessin learned. I will have to get dip too

They are on a decent size rock so I'm going to dip the whole rock. Its impossible for me to remove all of them from it.

I'll see how it goes

ideally you should chip the zoas off the rock with a bit of the rock attached as there doesn't seem to be a consensus as to whether or not the furan is completely reef safe. I think it should be ok but just make are you flush your rock out thoroughly after the dip just in case.

yea DEFINITELY dip all corals. I've caught at least 2 zoa eating nudibranchs using the dip, so I honestly think there's a really high chance you have some sort of zoa eating thing

however now that you possibly have something in your tank it may be difficult to completely get rid of it...

Ok cool. I just ordered coral rx. I got home today and they actually look alot better. I'm hoping I'm catching this early enough. I appreciate all the help.

Also I was thinking that even if I dip the whole rock and rinse it, that i use activated carbon so if anything is left over it will get filtered out.

Coral Rx is good. You can also try peroxide dip

My guess is no phosphates. I’ve recently started dosing phosphates, as I have a Dino outbreak and am trying to grow more algae (I literally had almost no algae). I’m seeing the corals perk up. Some zoas are opening back up.
Maybe more importantly is that I started hand dosing Alk and Calc. My parameters in those areas are so much more stable now.
I’m feeding pellets everyday now (on top of the frozen I feed) and more nori to try and get phosphates steady w/o dosing eventually.

Stability and nutrient availability (nitrates and phosphates) are key. The zoas that we’re disappearing are coming back for me now.
I also increased my lighting as it was too low, but I do not think that was the issue.

We shall see. What kind of dip?

Late response but... An awesome coral dip is continuum pro coral dip. Expensive depending on where you purchase or where you are located but really good!

Try iodine dips or furan 2. It could be bacterial or fungal related. Peroxide may help as well
