Zoas are reaching in my 10g

I have the ai prime an set to whites25% and blues at 30% the AI is about 8-7" from water level any suggestion

I would leave white there but crank those blues up to more than half of whites I have prime with blues around 45% and white at around 20% all others for the color look you like. Both blues put out some good par as with the white

Total shot in the dark but maybe it has to do with the color of your substrate? The darker the substrate, the less light is reflected, the less light available for metabolism? I don't know, totally guessing. But my zoas only do that when there is something between them and the light, therefore I'm trying to think of why/how your zoas are behaving as if they're not getting enough light.

I have my prime at mostly 40% on my 16g which is most likely similar in depth. Hike up your light bro

I have a eggcrate which is white over the tank as a screen cover the original cover screen was white but that stopes so much light Till I put the new cover on and that's what I think I need to do is raise my lights to 40% sounds about right ill raise the lights slowly so I won't burn them

Theyre reaching because of ur flow whatever ones r reaching need more flow

Yeah go slow but you could probably get away with around 50 with the screen but take it slow and see how they react

I dot think it's my water flow I have a aquatop 317 and the nuvo 8 pump for my media reactor which is the white nozzle you see in the pic plus I face the nozzle towards them before they didn't like it stayed closed till it was moved and Yeah you have a point there lTreeferVA

Maybe I can move the nozzle somewhere maybe that might help and how should I ramp my LEDs up

I don't think the Prime is very powerful (par wise), i run mine with white at 35%, and deep blue & violet at 90% on a 14g with the Prime around 8 inches above the water.
Corals are LPS and zoas, everything is happy.

Not that I know of I can ask my lfs but I don't see them having one and by the way your tank and zoas are incredible and all my zoas are big and shrunk now to size just the tinker bells sunny ds and rainbow infusions are reaching should I just move them up alil

I agree see if you cant find a par meter the see if you need to ramp them up. But i do believe it has something to do with the % you run them at.

On my 8g nano i run them a 85 blues 60 violet, 60 uv, 20 white

Ok I'll ask my lfs. So pretty much just crank up the % I have the lights at 8" over the tank if I turn up the % do I leave the light at 8" or put them at 12"

I would take it slow when increasing the % of the lights.

I think i have mine 6" or so off the surface of the water
