Hi all

I have a colony of Zoas or palythoas, I am not certain. They have grown 3 new heads which look completely different in color, shape and size. They are the 3 purple heads at the bottom of the colony in pic.

There are no other Zoas near them and I don't have anything resembling the new heads.

Has anyone experienced this before?

Can there be a cross contamination of strains from the blade whilst fragging?

Also, if anyone can ID these that would be great.

Thanks

I'm not sure how hard these things can morph beyond color variations, so it's either a crazy morph or there was "cross contamination " per se.

Thanks MohrReefs regardless of how this happened I really like the colour morph.
