I have noticed a few polyps floating around my tank recently. They look healthy and are fully opened up floating around. Is something pulling them off? I dont think the power head is the cause as they have been fine for months in the same spot.

Do u have any crabs that aren’t reef safe ?

the only thing would be a peppermint shrimp I put in to take care of some aptasia that started sprouting up. Think it might be the cause? It did cross my mind

Usually peppermint shrimp eat coral , I’m sure it is him

Occasionally you'll see something along the lines of polyp bail out with zoa colonies, (I know, polyp bailout is a LPS thing). When one of my local fish stores was still open they had a colony completely detach from the rock one polyp at a time and they were all fine after being glued down to plugs and such. With that being said it certainly could be the peppermint lopping heads off of the colony, either way, grab those polyps that are drifting around in the current, glue them down, and you've got some frags to trade.
