As stated my fire and ice have lost all their orange coloration as have my smoldering cauldron and blow pops. Last week I found my pO4 to be very high at 2ppm and my alk low at about 6-7. It would temporarily increase after a large WC. My tank is about 2.5 gallons total. It’s been established about a year now with no prior issues. This past week I fragged two large chalices in the tank with hopes it would help with maintaining alk and I’ve switched to Red Sea pro coral salt. Are my wacky numbers to blame for my color loss. I’m about to removed the fire and ice completely they re a boring navy color.

I had the same identical problem with my Fire & Ice. I started a trace minerals program and now have more than enough fire.Try using Brightwell Aquatics Replenish and within a few weeks you will start to see the difference.
