Do they have one? Can they fight diseases on their own? Some of my favorites, have closed up & their stalks look a little pinched & grey. They are on a bottom rock & are growing on the rock.

Someone please help! I'm really worried about my zoas. :( Can I treat the whole tank?
Here are some pics:

I'm afraid these are getting sick with the same thing:

Is it possible whatever those "African" blue zoas had is contageous?

i found that whatever infection that takes over these zoas can be contagious, though to not all the strains. try the furan2 treatment...i just started mine today. we can both compare results after a week =]

I would have dipped already, for the fact that both these colonies are growing on huge rocks on the bottom of a wall of rock.

see if you can xacto out the zoas out of that area. or maybe some underwater chisel action.

the first two doesn't look so bad compared to the african zoas...and even the fact that your zoas are opening up should be a good sign that its still treatable... i got melting zoas that won't even open up. lets see how effective this furan2 is.
