Zoas Inverting Like An Umbrella?

I've noticed some of zoas/palys are stretching towards the lights and starting to look like an opened umbrella...does this mean there isn't enough light...I moved my halides down a bit to see if this stops them from doing that...hope it works and any advice is more than help!

Mine do that for a few days when I move them up or down. Now all are on the glass bottom and look normal after about a week.

could mean its too MUCH LIGHT! dont move your lights down.... only move your coral down cause then youll mess everything up for all the other corals. hope this helps.

i moved them down anyways as my lights were way to high above the water the zoas have been like this for a few months

I think it's the light. Mine stretch for light before the aquarium lights come on in the morning.

Mine will some times stretch a little before lights come on but not that much.

Does the body of the zoas get coated w anything at this time

Mine do that... Then they poop and look fine.
