Ok so I can't handle my self in addicted to zoas now my question is are they getting to much light or not enuff some of my zoas are changing colors like these. Spidermans I got about 2 weeks ago their growing great and are doing really good but the skirt has changed colors and is very dark now

I'm not a 100% on this
But
Corals normally look different due to water quality and lighting. I know if I place my Candy apple red at the top they bring out more color then if I placed them at the bottom.

All my zoas are in the sand right now. As for lighting I have a 6 ati t5. Bulb retrofit I built and 42. 3watt leds retrofit I also built and the leds are turned down to about 20% power. Alk 8.5 cal420 mag 1400 ph 8.2 nit 0 phos0 temp 77.5 swings to 78.8 mid day

bake them under the light. Also how far down are they? it could be to low nutrients in the tank as well but i dont no.

as he stated with candy apple reds. when i put them on the bottom the get really fadded. But when i cook them right at the tippy top the blast out bright neon red and glossy look not the flat red look.

Tank is a 120 tall so the lights are are about 31 inchs from the sand 24 inch tall tank. lights hang about 7 inches above water
