i recently bought some zoas from ebay... everyone has put great reviews on this person and none where negitive and they sell alot of corals on ebay. The zoas i bidded on where very bright and multi colored.... the ones I got were very blah and not multi colored at all. the skirts dont even look the same. SO i was wondering do zoas loose color like sps corals during shipping, the zoa i got is also a very small single head. do they not get all there colors till the are fully grown?? Thanks for your help.

when they get stressed they lose their color often, well mine do at least. Give it time, if its what the guy actually sold you then it should color up with time and a healthy tank

They might have cut a baby polyp. The skirts of my candy apple red palys don't have any red on them until the polyp gets to be larger than the size of a pea.

hope your right they are suppose to look sweet.
here is what they are suppose to look like. cant get a good pic of what they look like right now

ill try to get a pic of what mine looks like later..

I bought the same ones, from colorado? The color is not even close.

I should mention mine are under 14k, i dont know what picture was taken under. I bought a few other polyps from them as well and wasnt as excited to see them in person. Everything was healthy though.

blimey massively saturated in actinic lighting even the lashes are blue lol,

heres a lesson for keen zoa lovers/collectors....... if zoas are shown under heavy blue/actinic lighting to make it look colourful then its probably not colourful......
