I am new to reef2reef. I had a nice colony of green zoas that have slowly dissolved over a period of about 2 months this summer. The tank did get very warm (mid 80's) a few times this summer and a little overfeeding led to elevated phosphate levels. I have managed to get the phosphate levels back to below .5 and the temp is now steady at 76. My mushrooms, GSP and leather corals seem to be doing fine. Is it worth trying to add some more zoas or was the melting likely caused by some sort of parasite the will just kill any addional zoas that I try to put in? I never saw any damage like from a fish or crab the just slowly faded away.
Thanks for the advice
