For about two days now these won't open up. Any ideas?

Do a 50/50 peroxide dip and use a turkey baster blow of pest/detritus. I do this for all my zoas and they usually open back up within a day or so.

Thank you. I have seachem coral dip. Would this do the same? I am assuming to dip 50/50 peroxide and tank water in a seperate container. Then rinse and put back in tank. How long in the mixture

The person I saw do it had 10 drops to one cup of tank water swirled it around and dipped for a minute or two

I do the 50/50 in a separate container for about 2 minutes then rinse with RO water and back into the tank. Remember to swirl or turkey baste or something to blow off the gunk.

If the dipping doesn't help, try placing them in a location where there is a different amount of flow. I have seen this make a big difference after splitting colonies and putting them in different parts of the same tank. The ones that likes their spot opened up much more than the ones that didn't! Also -- if you begin to notice polyps missing, do a good search or search this forum for zoa eating snails. Just in case!

My zoas wouldn't open once and it was because of my salinity. I didn't realize it but my hydrometer wasn't right and my tank was at 1.031. Now I have two refractometers and calibration fluid around all the time.

Thank you all. I went ahead and did a dip in the seachem coral dip. Didn't have any peroxide. If this dip doesn't help I'll go to the store tomorrow and get the peroxide. I also moved it to a different location to see if that would help also

Have you ever tried Pure Peroxide for like 30 Seconds?

I hear that works but wanted to see if a lot of people did that with success before I tried it.
