Zoas on a frag disk

Do I need to remove them from the flat frag disk or just allow them to grow on the disk and off onto the rock?

I just allow them to grow on the disk. Makes fragging and selling easier later when you have a nice full colony.

have you experienced them not spreading but growing more into a ball on the flat disk?

Nope, they grow perfectly flat and much faster than on the rocks. I’m creating a ‘living bottom’ for my tank. It was a bare bottom tank but now I’m using zoas to cover the glass.
