I got a frag with zoas and placed it on an acrylic frag rack in my tank. I wasn't sure where I wanted to put them on the rocks, plus I'm dealing with a cyano outbreak on my rocks and didn't want to put them in the middle of that. So I ended up leaving them on the rack long enough that I now have several individuals attached to the rack. What is the best way to detach them from their current location and re-attach them elsewhere?

I just use a scalpel to scrape them from underneath as I lift the plug at the same time
Ahh, so they should still be somewhat attached to the plug? If there are any stragglers, can they be scraped from the rack and glued on a plug or rock with gel superglue?

Xacto knife / scalpel.

It's just like fragging them. As long as you don't cut into the upper stalk they should grow back fine. However, you might lose one or two that can't be cut cleanly.

I've never fragged anything, so I'm a little nervous about it. I'd hate to kill even one of them.

It’s normal to be nervous, you’ll feel that way for a while, youll get the hang of it.
There’s good info here on how to frag things and you can always ask too :)
