I'd say go for these, they don't look connected, so there won't be any real cutting, just getting something sharp under the lip of their mat and pulling the whole mat off the rock, better survivability that way too opposed to cutting

And maybe look at a YouTube video or two, regarding the safety stuff and so on and the whole process

I'll give this a shot! It'll be a learning experience.

early on I lost a lot of zoas to a nudi infestation.
after lights out look for them.
if you find any, use a turkey baster to remove them.

do you have a sump? if so are you using any marinepure or brightwell ceramics?
Why did you ask about the mp? Just curious if you are referring to the issues with aluminum.

Yeah I have overkill amount of marine pure... really been considering switching to pond matrix but I'm worried about losing denitrifying capabilities. I haven't done a icp yet.
I had 5 of the 8x8 blocks. icp came back high aluminum. I switched to matrix. many of my zoas that had been closed for months opened up and started spreading after many water changes. was it that? don't know for sure.

edit: sorry was off eating dinner.

lighting, my opinion, is a non issue.
I have colonies growing between 85 to 300 par.
these are at 300.
light cycle is 13 hours on.

all started out as 5-7 polyps per frag.

Good to know. It's definitely something I've been considering
