Zoas started closing

Hi reef2reef members...i have noticed my zoas have started closing and barely opening...i have tested all my parameter and they are

Ph 8.2
Cal 440
Kh 10
Mag?
Nitrate 0
Phos 0

I do run a nitrate reactor and have turned it off because ive heard you need a little nitrate and phosphate...could that be the reason they are closing..i target feed mon,wed,fri
 
How long have you had the pieces?
Lighting type?
Have you looked for the usual pest suspects?
Is there algae growing on the frags?
Swings in temp or SG?
 
Ive had them for 7 months no problem and growth.. 4 bulb t5..no pest always quaratine and i also dipped them.. no algae and no temp swings....literally just start doing this last monday
 
Yea i think i do need to bring my nitrate and phos back up at least mitrate to 5ppm and phos to .2 ..... the pic was the first day i noticed them closed... and i do 5g wc every week

Neither..those spots are white like calcium...most likely from sand bed drifting around

Just up the nutrients. When you say you target feed....what do you feed and how?
Most zoas and palys don't "eat" in the sense that acans or other lps/sps do. It could be as simple as you are the irritator hahaha
They aren't closed tightly which makes me think it's not something major.
