Introduction
I work right next door to our LFS. On my breaks I would occasionally stop in and meander through the livestock. The salt displays always drew most of my attention, even though I was already keeping freshwater fish. The manager always kept hyping up how awesome the saltwater hobby is. One day I walked in and saw this 5 gallon FluvalSea kit and just decided to jump on it and give it a shot. My current living situation basically only allows for a pico size tank.

After doing tons of research and talking to a few friends who currently reef, I started it up and cycled it in one month. Long time friends of mine hooked me up with some live rock and also all the corals I have now.

Equipment
FluvalSea Evo 5 Gallon Kit
Cascade 25 Watt Submersible Heater
1" Sandbed of Natures Ocean Aragonite Sand #5
Chemipure Blue

Livestock
2x Acan Lords
1x Trumpet
1x Meteor Shower Cyphastrea
1x Scarlet Reef Hermit Crab
2x Trochus Snails

Thanks for checking out my build thread. I am enjoying myself immensely in this salty side of the hobby. I will update as things move along.

Nice ......and Welcome ...:)

I have one as well.. love my fluval Evo V. Are you using the stock LED's?

What an awesome 5gal! I like the aquascape looks really good. Also great that your friends helped you out, that's what reefing is all about.

Yup. For now its just stock LEDs. I'm looking into some lighting upgrade options, just not quite yet.

Thank you! I definitely appreciated their help. Combined with R2R I think I'm starting on the right foot.
