Zona Growth Pattern

Just wondering why my Fruit Loop Zoa’s tend to spread over a large amount of area instead of just colonizing upwards and forming that gorgeous bubble look. I am happy with their growth rate, just disappointed they aren’t forming the typical dome shape I see so often on here. Pics of my garden for reference.

Love to hear some thoughts as to why this may be.

I’m not sure what the exact reason is. I’ve got some that grow that way as well.

Some spread, some grow together tight I suppose.
