Lol palythoa's are the same as zoanthids. Zoanthing Palythoa. just differenciate between the size.

I dont think that is true, if I remember correctly palys actually incorporated sand into there body structure and zoas dont. Feel the underside of purple death and they feel gritty.

I COULD BE TOTALLY WRONG ON THIS, I REMEMBER READING THAT SOMEPLACE A WHILE AGO.

PD, NG, grandis, captain americas, ect are all protopalys

100% agreed, purple death feel sandy.

I also remember reading that palys you can feed, zoas you cant. I know my Purple death, mohawks and other palys take entire pieces of mysis.

Yup that is true :)

Some protopalys do require feeding sometimes though to color up. For example those green grandis.
