Zoo prices

Know up front I'm not bashing anyone, I'm just curious and want to ask a question. Not just on this site but a lot of coral websites sell zoo 10 or more per poly. But both my LFS sell zoos all the time dirt cheap. Their reply was they are not that expensive to buy so the mark up is a lot lower. Here's an example.

I bought the two little colonies today for $23. This is not a sale, they are always this cheap. They both have at least 40 poly on each of them. So why is everyone else so high like 30 pp? Just curious

This isn't an add for them either, there is another shop here and two in the town over and they are all the same price

What lfs get is usually cheap colonies and they sell cheap. if an LFS would buy a colony for 3-400 the price would be more. The picture you posted look like belladonas and they're very cheap. Even online you will find those very cheap. I just did a quick search online and a rock of those online with 100+ polyps is around $60.

Okay I guess that makes sense, I don't know much about them other than they are pretty, that's why I bought them
