zooxanthellae Question

This is probably a stupid question but do you need to add any sort of zooxanthellae to your tank as your corals grow or are they naturally occurring?
 
They generally produce it under proper lighting but you can add phyto and additional at night when it’s not being consumed
 
They are already inside your coral's cells and reproduce as the cells divide. No need to add anything.

It also hasnt been proven conclusively yet that adult corals can take up zooxanthellae from the environment, so adding them would likely be an exercise in futility even if you could find a culture of Symbiodinium.
