Not for everyone but for me, my protein skimmer is the most important piece of equipment that I have.
I am always trying to save a dollar in this hobby but never skimp on the skimmer.
I've tried many many brands over the years.
If you could spend just a tad more I think it would be worth it.
R2R has a sellers forum/page whatever and people list skimmers all the time. Might be a way to go.
I'd suggest a simplicity 240DC for you.
$299 most everywhere on line.
I ran one for a bit -very nice skimmer.
Adjustable and easy with great customer service and easy to assemble and disassemble.
It is a bit large so you'd have to measure your sump but we're here whatever you need thought I'd throw that out there.
