Not sure. Mine was visible on the magnet that was rusting. Some Trace Elements have iron in them (a little is good for your tank usually), could definitely be the water from your LFS, could be tainted salt, or it could be a pump motor on your skimmer, return pump, or a powerhead.

Phos most likely upwards of. 1, nitrate probably 40.
Everything is bound in GHA and you'll never get a true reading until gone .
LFS water most likely culprit I'm almost positive
Please ask dad if there's any way to hook up small rodi system like mine somewhere in the house/garage/yard and I'll give all the info about it even send it to you if I can.
Until then, remove as much as possible as outlined nicely above.
As @tbrown mentioned there is a source problem you must correct whether it be something rusting, supplements or the water .
I'm convinced it is the water. Probably bad membrane high iron/tds/crap in the water this algae is just digging.

My mom said I could do it just dont think it will hook up to the laundry room sink. can I hook it up below or to the hose outside.

We are working on getting a sink in the garage just for the RODI

Shouldn't, yes. @Imrahilwjz was having a similar experience with copper coming from an unknown source and found the housing of his skimmer pump crack if I recall correctly. He said it was rusty in there.
