00W's AIO Smorgasbord

I know Merkey has a cure that's very effective most of the time - basically KFC I believe? Anyway, he's posted on a couple of other threads. It's not an easy fix though unfortunately.

What's up y'all?
Good Saturday?

I think part of Randy's reasoning (or maybe Miami's reasoning for agreeing) for not testing Magnesium is because the test kits aren't super accurate when it comes to Magnesium.

im trying to remember. i was thinking his reasoning was that if something else was off ( cant remember what it was. one of the major things we test) than mag would be off too. so it wasnt worth it to check mag because your other number would be off too. i could be wrong though.

I honestly believe as aquarists we test and be as accurate as we can.
I've never tested mag but I started adding 1/4 cup per week and my mangroves took off and my tank looks better.
Look at Kevin's tank my god it's beautiful and you see where he goes with magnesium.
Just 2 cents worth there....

i took the pics in two sets because of the length. hard to get it all in. i know some of the corals dont look happy. ive got a stupid kleini butterfly im trying to catch because he wont quite eating stuff

Love your setup!

There's a lot going on in there. Not a ton of SPS and LPS corals - more softies it looks like?

Definitely coralline growth. Usually that stuff eats magnesium. I think it's good to have higher magnesium so that's good for you.

Any possibility your Klein's is picking at the torch? That irritation could cause flesh band recession and possibly lead into BJD infection.

yes all softies. i havent the courage to try the acros yet. well, that little turd couldve been i guess. though i never caught him. he mostly eats at the zoas, bubble coral and the poor cynarina. between him and the sailfin blenny, a couple of the corals dont have a chance:(

i dipped the remaining head in revive and an iodine dip. trying to decide if i should just cut my losses and throw the whole thing away so the prolem doesnt spread....
You can put it in a separate holding tank with air and a heater and some circulation.

awesome tank, was always a sucker for zoa covered rocks and green shrooms.

can an auto windsheild repair place do their magic on glass tanks?
I do have a glass repair shop walking distance from my house...
