By the way rock and skimmers are my favorite part of this hobby.
I think mature rock in a tank is beautiful, especially real ocean rock.
If it didn't need an ammonia source like fish I think I'd have a rock tank myself.
Hey, don't have to feed it either, right?

have probably spent more time looking at the rock for different little things then the fish! Do have 3 mushrooms that were in the rock.

I'm Joel by the way.
Don't think I know your name yet.
No requirement to know your name and you don't have to give it away.

Yeah buddy!
That's what I'm talking about!
I got all mine from a guy getting out of the hobby at least 10 years ago.
It's probably 20 years old and he had so much I just picked out the pieces I liked.
Every once in a while I'll find some on ebay I like so I'll pick and choose.

Northern Wi. Middle of nowhere a bit north of weyerhauser.
North Idaho for me, 60 miles from Canada.
Lots of moose, bears and mountain lions.
And deer poop all over everything. ;)

We have black bears, coyotes, foxes and tons of deer. When I let my dogs out to run around in our yard all they do is eat deer poop. It's so annoying.

we had a dog that would eat any/all poop. it was annoying. went hiking in the rockies and i dont even know all the types he tried.

Back in the mid 90’s when we had great live rock, cheap, I could spend an hour with a flashlight after lights went watching everything that came out of the rock at night. Back then we didn’t have frag plugs and every coral came on a piece of small live rock bringing new life to the tank.
