Tank Setup:
- .5g Glass Cube
- about 1/2lbs of rubble rock
- 1" Sand bed from 10g
- 6" 10w Coralife Colormax
- Desk Lamp

Inhabitants:
- 3 Strombus Maculatus
- 1 Nassarius Snail
- 1 Orange Ricordia baby
- Gracilaria Macro Algae

Let me know what you think!

Wow, how do you do water changes in this thing??
I don't know yet lol just set it up today. Probably a small cup or piece of airline tubing.

and yes I was thinking a Naso Tang and maybe also a Hippo Tang would go nicely in here.

Looking forward to seeing this grow!

Agreed. Cute little tank... but what are you going to do for flow/filtration?
No filtration and No flow, this is going to be similar to what a "Shrimp Bowl" is in the FreshWater world. So pretty much Macro Algae for filtration and frequent WCs.

Looking forward to seeing this grow!
Thanks Rev! I'll be sure to keep the thread updated for any recent changes in case other want to try this out as well.

Also my baby ric probably does look like a nem cause in the 10g the Pistol Shrimp kept ******* it off so it extended (and because I was handling it quite a bit trying to get it in the tank).

Wow, how do you do water changes in this thing??

Easy, dump it out and refill lol

Seriously tho, its not like theres a real need for frequent or large water changes with a ricordia and a few little snails...... could probably just take a syringe change out like .5ml a month and be good lol

yeah but that isnt exactly precise... I would assume small differences would make not so small impact ;)

any updates on how this is working out?! I'm thinking of making one for my little nephew..we have a bunch of acrylic just laying around and we have the methylene chloride to bond it. This is very cool!

Also how about keeping the temp up? Does the desk lamp ambient heat do the job?

You need an APEX to control that thing ;) Could you use an aqualifter for flow?

Seriously though, keep the pics coming as this thing is cool!

Ok here is Day 1 Post Set-up (I'll add pictures later, I gave up using my crappy Camera and have to wait till Mom comes home with her I-Phone)
The Orange Ric. is doing great so far, it's nice and open along with showing a little tint of purple which might just be from rough handling when I moved it.
The 3 Strombus Maculatus are doing pretty good but it's kind of hard to tell how well they're actually doing cause they haven't moved a whole lot which could be due to not enough algae, adjusting to new tank or just having a hard time skirting around on the Gracilaris lol
The Nassarius...I don't know what the heck it's doing but it always seems to be on the glass now...

That's about it so far. I'm actually really hoping the algae starts to take off soon so that I can seed the tank with Copepods and so the snails have something to eat. I'll probably just seed it with some frozen Mysis and then hopefully while on vacation the algae will start to bloom.

Thanks for all the great comments! Promise to have pics up by the end of the day.

I'm tagging along. I'm going to setup a poco soon.

Here we go...PICTURES
Nassarius finally on the sand! He finally discovered what he was meant to do.

Well found a Bristle Worm from my 10g in here. . . hope that means the Mini-Stars made it in too!

One of the Strombus snails finally made it to the other side of the tank, so they must be moving around.

Other 2 still nestled in the Gracilaria...

Seeded the tank with some Mysis Shrimp
