1000G Puffer Display

I think we should all drive over and help finish the house :D

Yep we have to do more work on the house before we do more on the tank and right now I am moving out of our old house. So a lot to do before we get to the fun stuff.

I did move the skimmer up today. Here's the skimmer cup being transported!

I am surprised you did not have it in a child seat:)

That's just the cup?!?!

That's just the cup?!?!

That's what I thought!
Geez, it's bigger than most skimmers!!!

Hilarious, seeing the use of a seatbelt!
So, will you be cleaning the top of the skimmer from the second story? Or at least a ladder?

Its been a while since I posted now because we have had a lot to do on other projects including fixing up and selling our old house.

We hadn't planned to sell the old place yet as our new house is still a way from being finished but we were made an offer and took it. Problem was I had to take down my old aquarium and I didn't want to sell my fish. So I set up a temporary tank. The tank has been up and running about 3 weeks when I noticed something was up. I was getting an ammonia spike as the tank just wasn't big enough.

I live a 3 hour drive each way to my "local" fish shop and there is only a hand full of reefers around here the closest being a 40 min drive each way. So I called him to see if he had any saltwater as I needed to fill my tank up urgently. Living 1.5 hours drive from the sea he said of course he did, he had 5000 liters in his garage! haha

Pumping the water over ready to drive.

Cleaning out the inside ready for water.

My new neighbors have also grown fond of my fish so they rallied up and helped me drive over to move the 3 tons of saltwater.
We managed to pump and fill the whole aquarium in just a few hours. Fish were acclimated and put in and look to be doing much better already.

My Stars & Stripes enjoying the new space.

So not the way I wanted to do things but needs must! I will keep them in there as they are while finishing the house and then when I'm ready take them out and scape and set up the display etc.

Huge thanks to everyone who helped!

Desperate times call for desperate measures my friend. Glad you were able to get it worked out, at least temporarily. And congrats on selling the old house.
