After a close call yesterday having a ladder slip out from under me I decided to take a day off today. So what better today while I've got a sore neck, back and legs than play around with the rock!

I took the two huge bits I've got and chiseled on one to make it over hang and cut the end off the other so it had a flat surface so I could stand it upright.

I didn't have what I needed to make a PVC structure so I tried to just place some rock to make a structure.

I'm trying to make it look good from all 3 sides while giving room for soft corals to grow and also have a lot of swimming room for large fish.

It looked way better in person than on the photos as you can see the scale and depth better but something wasn't right. It was late and dark so I called it a night and went home for dinner.

But you know how that goes so an hour later I was back to see how it looked with the two large stones in the same area.

I threw the rest of the rock in a pile at the other side but when I got out it looked like this.

Still not as i want it but was kind of cool. I'll start trying to make a PVC structure in the next few days.

Looking good!

With all those pieces you could make some really nice arches overhangs and structures which will leave lots of space for swimming. The issue i see with just piling the rock up is if you have big fish especially messy eaters you will get allot of gunk stuck in rock piles. The more flow through the rock the more filteration it will provide. Why no get some pvc and reef cement. Yiu have enough there to make a floating ledge. The scape there is pretty cool though [emoji3]

The plan is to build a PVC structure I just don't have what I need yet. This was just a first play to see how it looks

I was looking at the pictures and was like nice deck, then I saw the rock on the ground:eek::eek::eek::eek::D:D:D

The shot with the tank and rock with just the light in the tank look pretty cool.

Hey be careful:rolleyes:
