Been 6 months of prepping and now the dsa110 is wet with rock and some fish!

Looks good. I'm upgrading to a 120 from a 90. The 120 with a new custom built stand has been "in process" for almost 3 months. I'm getting closer, starting on the plumbing this weekend. Good luck

Nice start. If you haven't sealed that particle board in your sump room yet, you may want to consider doing so. It will soak up water like a sponge.

I've sealed the inside of my stand with primer and 2 coats of white. Wife says "why paint it no one will see it". I said "I will" and explained that non-sealed wood will absorb water and painting it makes for easier clean up.

Nice. If you don't mind my asking, how big is the overflow? I'm considering purchasing this tank and I can find any info on the size of the overflow.

With so many tanks to choose from, why did you this tank? Just curious because im also considering the Red Sea Reefer 450.

Also what are you goals for the tank?

I chose this tank because of the dimensions. Hate getting my arm pits wet from deep tank. The tank itself is very well made. Silicone job is very smooth. Overflow is thick acrylic instead of plastic. The overflow is 10x5 inches.
Already filled the tank without sealing particle board. Hopefully it will last couple yrs. by then I'll probably update tank.

Fish got ich so tank is fallow while the fish are in qt. got sick of dealing with ich.

Algae issue popping up with heavy feeding. I dont want to reduce the feeding so I am employing adding more bateria through matrix and will start vinegar dosing. Oddly enough when I added more matrix, it caused the really long GHA to reduce down to short GHA.

About 1.5 wks. But now the algae isn't receding anymore. I need a big reactor to have 4l of matrix. Just have 2l now.

Just finished plumbing my 60 gallon cube to the main system to use as a algae grow out tank. Maybe have couple clowns in there so it isnt so empty.

Decided not to get a snowflake eel thus the 60 gallon cube is now a chaeto grow out tank. Tank still has to much hair algae. Battling it every week with water change and gfo!

After months of battling (scrubbing with tooth brush, turn off light, cut down on feeding, water change, more water change, run GFO, modify my sump so it has a fuge that tumbles chaeto, started vinegar dosing, stop vinegar dosing after cyano outbreak, added trochus snails and blue leg, dose dr tims, dose other bacteria products) I have won the battle of the GHA. Final aquascaping and now time to add some corals.

glad your GHA is finally gone. I've had to go fallow also, it requires so much patience. What kind of corals are you going to start with? Nice tank btw!
