Well I finally reached the "good enough for who it's for" stage on the glass. 70 gallons of water are in, rocks are in. I have another 35 gallons ready to go in today. I'll be working on the plumbing and getting the sand in today. 60lbs of dry and 20lbs of pink Fiji live, in addition to the 60lbs I'll be transferring over from the current tank when transfer day arrives.

I would reconsider transferring your old sand over, you'll see why once you start messing with it.

Yeah I anticipate it being pretty filthy. I was going to sift it and let my skimmer and filter sock pull as much sediment out as possible over the course of a day or so. Really want all the bb I can get even though I'll be using Dr. Tim's One and Only live bacteria to cycle the tank fast.

Use some of the sand, if you're overly worried about bacteria issues than why aren't you using your old healthy and cycled rocks?

I will be using several pieces of my current rock, mainly because of encrusting corals. I will be dipping everything before It goes Into the new tank, using RPS all out.

Sorry guys. It's been a rollercoaster ride on this one. The plumbing is finally finished, I'm in the latter stages of the cycle now. I'll get a few pics up today.

Thanks Luis. I'm so ready to get this transfer going now.

I have 8oz. of RPS All Out. I plan on dipping everything that goes into the new tank. Multiple 5gal buckets with increased water volume from the new tank in each bucket that I rinse in. Unless there is a better method. I'll drip acclimate the fish.

Do you have reasons to dip everything or just be cautious?

I'm not a fan of drip acclimation of fish, did it one time and the fish didn't make it. Just my personal experience.
