So I decided to start up this build thread today sense I should have my tank up and running in the next couple months. It's been a long process so far the tank is a 120gallon 4x2x2 drilled with a single over flow hole. The sump is a eshopps advanved 220 first gen with a coralife 220 protein skimmer. The return pump I hope to use is a iwiki 1300, it was given to me for free with the sumo but haven't had a chance to test it out yet and am a little nervous about drilling the acrylic sump. The light fixture is a 6 bulb HT5 with 10 moon light leds. I'm hoping to use my tax return to kick this tank into gear. I'm very new to Reefing but have reading more than I care to admit on R2R so I think I'll be alright.

Here's my 130 acrylic and I think 30gl sump. Built the tank, sump, and stand. Blood sweat and money! Sounds like your very close.Good luck man I'm sure it'll be awesome. I know from recent experience you must be foaming at the mouth right now! 20160113_203518.jpg 20160113_203518.jpg

I am most definitely foaming at the mouth right now haha. Building the stand is my next project. I really like how you did the lower chamber. Is that just white paint or a sealant of some sort?

It's just a mildew resistant white primer interior house paint. And there's a single bulb t5 grow light from the garden section of the hardware store in there

my plan was to either add a couple fans to the back or possibly leave the back open. not sure which yet hopefully the quieter one.

Everything is ordered and will be here tomorrow!! Should be filling within a week. I start the stand Saturday morning will be placing the order for the wood today.

Almost everything has arrived right on time. The pukani Rock is really awesome and bulk reef supply really hooked it up with large pieces. Tomorrow morning the stand will be built, picking the wood up early. So the only piece missing now is my Durso standpipe which I ordered from Richard durso's website. But the web site still says the order is processing. -.-
