1200 gallon total gallon system.

I 'd hate to see this granite vs. quartz debate derail a great build thread. In the midst of that exchange, my earlier question sort of got buried. PT, I would still very much like to hear how you lifted the tank into place since I will be facing the same challenge in the near future with a 1300 lb. glass tank. Thanks!
I am sorry. I missed your post. We used to lift machines. I will find the name for you, but they just fit under each side of the tank and has 2 handles on the top that we used to raise it up. once it was at the same height of the Table we used suction cup with handles and slid it over. It actually went pretty smooth.
No worries on the great "granite" debate. I know what I have. I went to the local supplier here in KC and picked it out. I was just out of town for about 10 day, but now back at it.
Just about finished with everything!

This is what we used. We rented 2 for the job.

Thanks very much. Yes, those look like they would do the job nicely. I used two farm jacks to lift my 325 gal. a couple years ago. it was a little scary because we had to keep the jacks perpendicular to the floor since they had only about a six inch wide base plate. That was only 750 lbs., so it worked pretty well. My next lift will be around 1300 lbs. and the larger base, with wheels would be a huge improvement. I will look into local availability. I assume you padded the lifting arms with something to protect the tank?

They worked great. It did take 5 people for the move. We used carpet scraps on the lifting arms.
They do have a fairly large base, so they require a bit of space to use.

Here are a couple progress pictures. Have most of the basement viewing room torn apart, and removing the old vinyl tiles! NOT A FUN JOB!
Almost have all of the plumbing finished. Just tweaking things a bit.
