120g to 210g Upgrade

So I've been looking at stands made from aluminium extrusion as it's seems a lot easier to work with and doesn't require welding? Has anyone ever used this stuff for a stand?

Found a video of a guy making one on YouTube:

That's a cool idea. You're probably going to have to give significant thought to how you're going to support the horizontal members for the weight of a 210 gallon system.

I think that stuff would work great for smaller systems, but the stability of single vertical members with about 2000 lbs of water, rock, sand and glass would also be a concern.

I personally like dual overflows. some people like the ghost. the dual overflow gives u less usablevolume but i use them both as additional refugiums. just food for thought.

I'm going sound daft here but what do you mean by dual overflows and using them as refugiums? Are you talking about using overflow boxes rather than drilling the tank?

That is called 80-20 tubing here in the states and it can be done for a big tank it just isn't cheap around 3000 dollars for ur tank.
