Can anybody help with the settings for my hydra52’s? Right now i have them on an auto mode of 8 hours a day. I’m sure they is some customizing i can do?

So my temp at its coldest point gets to 76 with the ac cranked over night and the hottest point is 78 during the afternoon. Is this safe for corals?

Should be okay. I'd shoot for 77 at night if 78 is your high temp.

one of my ai hydra 52s (BRS OPEN BOX ITEM) has been turning off and on today. Today I tried a preset with higher intensity and it started exhibiting this condition of turning off for 10-12 minutes and turning back on, etc. this started after about 2 hours of the new preset today. Has turning off and on about 4 times in the past 3 hours. Just got off the phone with BRS and they sent me a prepaid shipping label to take a look. Great customer service but will still take about 2 weeks to get back fixed or replaced between transit time, etc.

Tested for phosphates tonight and they were at zero. Everyone had me worried about the pukani dry rock!

10 days in. Day 2 added bio-spira along with a royal gamma and clownfish.

Small update.

Have both the mp40s installed and synced together in lagoon mode about 40%. I also turned up my s1 return pumps to 50% each. This combination is creating great flow within and excellent surface irritation.

Waiting on my replacement hydra52 that was having an overheating issue to be delivered tomorrow. I noticed that my two hydra52’s i have running now have 2 different shades of blue, most noticeable during ramp up and ramp down. One is more bright/ green and the other is a darker blue. I plan on giving ai a call once i get my 3rd one back to see which one that matches with. I think have the darkness separating in the middle made it really noticeable to me.

Brown powder algae all over glass and rocks and sand but seems to be clearing up somewhat. Cleanup crew is in consisting of 30 dwarf hermits and 6 snails.

Planning on doing a 20% water change this weekend.

I have noticed a bunch of tiny white particles floating around in my water. Not micro bubbles. Not sure what this is? I don’t believe calcium precipitate as my calcium levels are strong at 420. Maybe bacteria? Hard to get a picture of it but I tried. I am hoping the water change will help. I’m not running any carbon at yet.

My chaeto has grown in size and has nice dark color.

Skimmer is getting taking out lots of dark colored gunk!
