Actually I almost like that idea more. The base on that rock is larger, and there is a support in the middle.TWSS

A few updates:
what I thought may be coralline definitely isn’t coralline. It’s most probably cyano. I’m investigating my next move (probably Vibrant or Microbacter. Maybe Chemiclean) See how it’s stringy?
Also still dealing with diatoms. I bought some snails from my LFS, and they are already doing work. See how they cleaned this part of the rock in less than 2 hours?
I also picked up some nassarius snails to help churn the substrate some. I wanted a goby, but the LFS just got them in and didn’t feel comfortable selling them yet. My LFS is awesome by the way. I may pick up a goby next week.

I would advise against vibrant, and use any of the others with caution. I think we all know what happened with them....

I have no advice on anything because im a newbie, and so I am just here learning, and watching.

I have some Cerith snails coming in today. Still dealing with diatoms on the substrate. From what I read, they should be a good addition to the tank.
Still dealing with a small cyano outbreak (what I originally thought was coralline wasn’t coralline.) The cerith may help with that.

I've tested the flow, and it seems to be adequate. I think I'm dealing with newer tank ugly stages at this point.

The issue I'm having now is that I can't tell if certain purple/pink spots I'm seeing are coralline, or just cyano stains on the rock.
