I am running the ASM G3 in my sump. I've got the 120 gallon version of your tank with a 40 gallon breeder for the sump.

It's not super fancy but it easily handles the load. My local fish store has it setup on their 500+ gallon and swears by it.

Very nice STURDY Stand (if I could weld I'd do one like you are since frame doesn't take up more space)) but since I can't Weld (mine will be wood 2x4's and for corners 4x4 Wooden Deck Posts)

How tall is your stand?
I am about to build a 110G 46x24x22 Tank (in-wall), but am trying to figure out best stand height.
Right now in thinking 32" stand height since my desk is 31" so will be just 1" above desk.

I’m going with 3-6” . My previous tank was lower and I would sit on the seat and look at it. This time I want it so that I get the best view standing up. I’m 5-8” so I figured the top of my head would be the top of the tank

The price of the skimmer looks perfect for my build . I’m ok YouTube and can’t find much info on it ?

Have you narrowed down what you plan on doing for lights, pumps, etc?

If you haven't picked a skimmer highly reccomend bubble magus currve servies. Just set one up on my new build which is close to gallons as yours and super quiet.

Although this is a new build, it's actually an upgrade from 65G to 110G.
I already have two EuroReef Skimmers running both the 65G and 90G tanks and except for the odd venture cleaning they have performed very well for many years (10+). (Simple but reliable, Wet or Dry Skim, and easy to clean inside considering my hand fit inside all the way in [no take apart needed] )

I did buy a RLSS DB8I which is not a typical skimmer for tuning (Great space saver) but is a little sensitive to water pressure/water level AND sometimes can produce microbubbles on the output.
It's sitting on my shelf waiting for this new build to be finished.
Like you (testing many lights) I did some extensive testing COMPARSIONS on skimmers and the DB8i is a powerhouse so should be able to handle my NEW 110G Tank.
It's also runs better on higher nutrient load compared to low load. I setup a test with a large well fed fish and small tank and it worked amazingly.
What I like about the DB8I is the variable speed pump control via APEX.
So I will do a slight modification on the Sump baffle to make the DB8I work (containing the microbubbles and deal with pressure sensitivity)

All of them are fairly quiet but quiet isn't important since my Sump are behind a wall in a Sump Room.

This will kind of give you an idea what I have to do for new tank. (replacing the TANK labeled BASEMENT TANK)

The room is empty now since I've removed everything this weekend (prepared for the move last month) Both Tank (Kitchen on floor above, and in the room) Are still running in bits and pieces. I've documented the whole pre-build on a pre-Build thread.

New tank arrives in about 2 weeks.
Visited factory last week for final adjustment. Now it's curing.

I'd rather spend money on new Lighting since I have 3 skimmers and two tanks.

Thanks for your input.
I will be following your build especially when you start up since I have many thoughts above moving the 65G contents (rocks/fish) to the new tank.
I already prepared for the move (taking out all frags/corals into Frag Tank), and right now my 65G is Fish and Rocks only (Low lighting, High Circulation) to kind of cook the rocks.

I actually have already started my build thread and actually have a couple fish in it . if you would like the link I can post it for you?

Opps. Sorry for the Post above (off topic about Skimmers). I thought it was the Original Poster (Samuel Replying).
I still want to hear about the Orhpek Light experience.

As far as your build. Send me a PM. I don't want to interfere with OP's thread. (I think I already did too much. My apology again)

Lol - yeah I was reading your responses and looking at the title and was like - did I just get hijacked ?

I measured to my arm pit and made the total height equal to that so I can reachieve the bottom.

Probably all my fault...My Orphek Light question. That was a 2nd window thread I had going and mixed the two up.

Le me get back to SAMUEL's 60Gallon Build and his BEAUTIFUL Metal Frame Stand.
36" is kind of high for me since I sit at my desk.
Standing viewing would be ideal at 36.

But one thing I been paying attention to is small things.
-> Do you want to see the surface of your tank water when looking in (Same for equipment)
-> Lighting could glare thru glass (someone sitting beside it) if tank is too high. (I have been peeking at my other tank and simulating height by lowering my body positions)
-> A bit lower works great for SPS since coloration is usually more from the TOP

I wish I could just build a stand that one could raise and lower like a camera tripod.
But you can't. Leg Spacers might work for any adjustments.
Another option is go a bit lower and you can add layers of flat Stand Top to raise 1/4" steps (Plywood or foam). My tank maker recommend the dense Styrofoam as a base sine it kind of auto levels the tank as it slightly compresses. (He says fully compresses after a week and then no more)

Samuel, once thing I learned about bases for stands and sumps. If you want them quiet ensure you put a base of something flexible. Otherwise you will get annoying hum from pump motors, that can amplify with the acoustics of the frame. I had a sump that would drive me crazy with hum for years. Then I raise it and put a foam underneath. TOTAL SILENCE.

And Samuel, how are you going to LEVEL that stand if floor isn't prefect, or did you already adjust for that in stand's resting place.
