I think it was okay and make a thread about a Norwegian aquarium too :)

So I started my planning my dream reeftank in February 2015, me and my fiance bought a brand new house that would be ready in September 2016 so i got 1 year to plan and get all my stuff in place for the tank.

I got in contacted with my local saltwater shop where I wanted to build a brand new reef tank on my goals and how I wanted it, my local shop was very posetiv to it and we sat down and planned and drawn on a sheet. after a few days I received drawings from the store the result was this :

Details of the tank:

the tank have optiwhite glass on the front and on the left side.
the tank is black on the right and in the back and black silicone

Details of the furniture:

This furniture is built of steel frames where I have 12 legs in the bottom so i dont destroy the floor, all walls can be removed so that the entire furniture piece can be open and the solution we got for that was that we milled magnets in walls so it was only to click them in place when i wanted them on again

Here is the solution that we went in bottom and avoiding that the plates would drop

here you have the magnets, I have one on each side of the plate

So two weeks after I ordered the tank I got pictures from the vendor that the tank was completed and ready for shipping

After everything was ready and I approved the tank it would take 5-6 weeks before the aquarium was in place so in the meantime, I worked on the house and try to forget the tank because i was so ready to get my tank but
it would not help if the tank was in place beacuse the house was far from finished.
so i contine working in the house and when finished work and the house I started plans of equipment I wanted in aquarium

Equipment im going to have in my system is:

Circulation:

3x Apex wav pumps
1x Ecotech Vectra M1

Filtration:

Nyos Quantium 220
Rollermat

Lighting:

Vertex illumina 1200
3X Vertex Multicolor Pad
1X Vertex Green Pad
1X Vertex Red Pad
1X Vertex UV Pad

4x54W D-D t5 Razor
2x Ati coral pluss
2x Ati Blue pluss

Other equipment:

Apex aquacontroller standard
advanced leak detection with 2x
ALD-P1 low profile
2x Dòs
2x
DOS dual reservoir
Automatic Feeding System
breakout box: I'm going to run and float in the skimmer cup and water resovar
Smart ATO
Vertex deluxe puratek 100

so may 2016 the house was ready so i could lift the tank to the 2 floor.

As you can see there was not much spare to get the the tank to 2 floor but it did go .

I'm very glad we got the tank in 2 floor before the stairs came: P

A small detail that I have not mentioned before is that in Norway 90% of all house are build in wood and since Im going to have the tank in 2 floor it require that i had to make some changes to the roof. I had to put all the floor joists at 30 cm x 30cm and then I had to have a steel beam under the tank.

Took a trip to a local store and shopped side furniture i wanted so my owerflow box and and pvc got hidden. Inside the furniture i also will have all my equipment to avoiding moisture is going to the equipment.

so the result was:

so July is here and things start and put in place. I'm done with pvc and got my rollermatte in place so I started with placing the rock formation. I've selected to go for finished ceramic pillars made from Aquaroche so the result you can have a look here:

After I was finished and set up the tank 90% me and fiance did take a well deserved trip to greece to relax and prepare so we could move into the house and we where getting a daughter (my first) :)

I'm only 26 but I still do it old fashioned way so I let my tank be without any fish or corals in two months and only I only dose Aquaforest bio S and clean sea water to build bacteria in the tank.

2 months have passed and I can finally start get some fish and corals in the tank. I had some fish and coral from my old tank so i added I first

1 x convict tang
1 x cleaner wrasse

Then in October i bought my first 3 fishes to the new tank but it did not go as I wanted sadly :(

I bought
1x mystery wrasse
and 1 pair of Genicanthus caudovittatus this was a very expensive but a lovely couple. after 1 week in the tank the male got white dots and it spread to all the fish in the tank, just a few days after he got it he died unfortunately. One week after that the the female died aswell. For some strange reason then disappeared all white dot on all the fish after the couple died so I do not understand what was the problem with them. ater this happen i decided and make me a quarantine tank so i took a trip to the store that i bought my tank from and got them and draw a quarantine tank

Cool build, sorry to hear about your fish passing. It's sounds like they contracted Ich. A quarantine and copper treatments could help fish future mortality rates.
