180.5 with mp40 overflow issues

I use reef crest, tidal swell, and nutrient transport from 8pm to 8am. During the day I'm using lagoon mode on 45% for now to give my bowerbanki a break. He doesn't seem to love high flow. Either that or my urchin is occasionally snacking on him. Not entirely sure yet.

So you use all of them on 45%? Can you screen shot your Mobius or not home? These waves are killing me 1am csnt sleep knowing the noise is out there haha

Just an update. I switched from the duckbill nozzells to the circular ones.
Seem to be getting more flow in the tank (les water tension but just upped my mp40 to sort that and now the tank is not making the waterfall noise :)

Sump however seems a bit loud (Water flowing into the skimmer chamber) what water level do you have your waterbox at?

Glad you were able to get the overflow noise sorted. Definitely go for a sock silencer for the front filter sock and it will make a world of difference. It seems they're out of stock all the time on Waterbox. I had to wait about 2 months before mine finally arrived after I ordered it. But I'm so glad I got it. Initially turning up the tank was kind of a buzz kill when hearing all the splashing from the filter sock. I temporarily took care of that by dampening it with one of the socks from my old 65 gallon tank. As much as these cost, they really should sell these aquariums with the filter sock silencer.

Living in Australia I can't even find where to buy them lol.
My noise seemed to be coming from the refug chamber into the skimmer chamber though. I popped the wall up a touch and it's better but really is a buzz kill...

Oh yes. The noise from the fuge was terrible. I experimented with it for a day and then removed the baffle. Definitely was a disappointment.

Just an FYI, but this is what the sock silencer looks like. I think it's just a 3d printed part but it has worked wonders. The splashing sounds drove me nuts. If you remove the fuge baffle, the sock may be the next thing to make you crazy. Definitely not as bad though.

Yeah I did remove the baffle first and the sound made me want to end it all hahaha it's not to bad now with the baffle slightly up.

Can you use the sock silencers without the sock?

No. The silencer sits in the sock.
So annoying i moved all my media into the sock chamber becuase i was going to stick my macro reactor there hahaha maybe i can just cut out the sock and use the top plastic bit

Worth a shot. The bigger issue is getting a hold of the silencer.
This is true... Apparently my LFS can order it in for me.
How quiet is your tank btw? I just want to know if i'm being unrealistic thinking it shoul;d be dead quiet like it was before.

All I hear is a small trickle in the overflow. Barely noticeable but not completely silent. But I no longer hear anything from the sump. I would take a video, but I noticed that when I do that it sounds much louder in the video than it actually is. Can definitely tell the difference if the overflow level isn't where it should be. While I'm watching TV I don't notice anything. Was not the case before the silencer.

This was my first experience with this kind of plumbing so it was definitely a bit of a learning curve in the beginning. One of the reasons I went with a tank like this is because I didn't have to think about the plumbing and the noise. My old 65 was very much DIY and I wish I knew then what I know now about the plumbing.

Here's a video. I think it actually does sound pretty quiet.

Yeah thats just a trickle i'm still getting more of a rush.
What pump do you have? do you know what GPH its pushing?
