2 important questions

I always had a betta tank up until just recently. They are great fish. It is very simple to maintain and they always come to greet you once they realize you bring the food lol.
Lol easier then salt that's for sure . I seen some wild looking betas . Some were like $75

The funny thing is those are the rejects lol. There is a whole world of betta breeding and showing and that is where the most spectacular ones end up.
 
By the way, I turned the spout on my fluval so the water stream is directed against the side glass. It's not too strong that way. :)
 
Mine is white. Most live freshwater plants don't have a real root system, so I just bought kinds that could be held down in gravel.

I don't have a current full tank shot at the moment, but the plants in there have grown a lot in a month. You can see they are tall enough to be out of the water already.
