220G SPS Dominated System

I just started the Tropic Marin Balling method. I didnt set the doser up correctly though and, I dropped my ALK. I have some serious RTN going on currently so, I'm trying to stabilize everything. My tank was pretty use to the consistent ALK from the cal reactor.

sounds like we have a similar tank volume, I dose 105ml ALK and about 100CAL and this keeps me around 8 DKH. Hope that helps.

Here are my most recent Triton water test results. I started using TM Pro Reef because that is the suggested salt to use but its funny that there are still many deviations even with that salt. Think im going to make a slow switch over to NeoMarine by Brightwell. Please chime in on the results if you have a suggestion.

thanks man it's a work in progress but I do think this awesome light is making a huge difference on this system. T5/led I think is the best thing going right now. As for the led's I run heavy on the blues and some white and very little red. I used the process of getting the look I wanted with the t5 tubes and then made subtle tweaks with the led's for appearance. I also made it have a surmise and sunset effect. Hope that helps.

Thanks! It's all a learning process with the SPS. I think the addition of the Cal reactor will increase stability hopefully leading to better growth and color.
