250000 litre pool conversion to reef tank!

Looking good!

Sooo:)...got this sump!
I love blue!
Thought it was a waste to use the 140 gallon tank I showed in early pics for my sump.
Took the advice from you guys to upgrade protein skimmer!...thank you" IKE".
Surprisingly enough my LFS was more then happy :) to swap mine out for one that costs twice as much:)?
So got a Reef Octopus 300ss on route to Canada...we don't get shipping like you guys!
So I might see by April:(
Going to use other tank for frags..etc.
But no problem...leaving for Cancun in a few days to see the real thing!!
Best dive I ever had was wall dive just off Cozumel...absolutely amazing...300 lb Grouper you could touch...fish with spawns every where...could touch sharks...nurse..of course!
Will fire up the gopro and post some shots!
And thank all of you for the encouragement and following!

I have seen others use TSlot aluminum for light rack to prevent any sagging. That sag would bother me, I think I would send it back.

I am curious as I too am looking at adding a tank in my office. My issue is I work on the phone so it has to be super quiet, are u worried about the noise at all? I mean my ecotech xr 15gen3pro'd fan is audible for me

I have the same bar, but with three lights instead of 4 . dimensions are 72" X 24" X 24" , however my lights are rotated, no sagging at all

I have the light rack extended an extra 8 inches...it is mounted to the outside of my over flow box.
I think if I shorten it to tank width ...72 inches...it will be better.
Sitting at my desk the lights are 2 feet higher then my eye level...will give it some time ...but may have to go to a canopy:(.
The glare looking up at the lights may be an issue:(
I can barely hear the fans and hoping over flow will be dead silent:))))
I am hoping the sound of coral growing will make it impossible to talk on the phone:)!

I think you can do with only three

Not to high-jack the thread , this is a photo of the exact lights and bar and it is only at 75%

Yes...looks like you have lots of light!
Have you done any par reading?

Sag is pretty much non exsistant when mounted at 72 inches
I like it:)!
Considering the lights and mounting system cost more then the exs wedding ring...I better like it:)))
Hope it lasts longer then her too;)

I believe the common cat fish and incredibly rare monkey fish have not cohabitated before...so follow along to see how they do.
