250000 litre pool conversion to reef tank!

Took a 2 bit..red neck farmer from Alberta Canada to predict the economical future of the US economy????:))))

Snap on *Drool* wish all there stuff was made In North America though, especially given the price of there stuff lol

Snap On tool boxs are made in Algona Iowa..

Did I mention that was 5 years ago:)))?
how many or you US citizens predicted this:)???

Never would have dreamed, figured we was in for round 3 of the Bush's

I don't think the roller filter will make the water "too clean". Just pull out the larger particulate and get it out of the water colum faster.. with the added benefit of us not having to pull and clean filter socks every week..

Snapon boxes are made in the usa

The boxes are yes, but half there tools aren't, was looking into getting a nice set for myself until I realized half of them are made anywhere but north America. I'm an avid supported of North America's economy and do my very best to not purchase anything made outside of it. Obviously can't do that with everything but gotta start somewhere

Don't wanna hi jack this thread but... you need to check your info. All the hand tools and a vast majority of the power tools labeled Snap On are still made in the USA.

A small % of the cordless tools are made overseas (but not by other company's. still in Snap On owned and operated factories)

The majority of Snap On overseas manufacturing is companies that Snap On has bought out. i.e. John Bean, Bahco, and others.

Factories in
Milwaukee Wi
Elizabethton Tn
Johnson City Tn
Murphy NC
Kenosha Wi
Algona Ia
City of Industry Ca
Conway Ar
Elkmomt Al

Check it out for yourself.

One more off topic photo:)!
New arrival:)...way to early...should start calving in may.

Seriously????...is that not the cutest little thing ..you have ever saw short of a baby blue tang!!!

Anyway back to the reef!....went to pickup plastic panels for fish room walls!
Sold all my trucks ..so had to ask my 86 year old dad,,to borrow his truck!
My dad can work circles around any 40 year old man!
Me included!!
Went through procedure to install these panels and how they would look as a finished result.
Any way came home with 2 gallons of high gloss kitchen and bath paint..talked my self into doing 3 coats instead of two and would be better then panels!

I know all you arts students are doing summer salts :))) ..should be ever seen:)

Love the tool box stand. That's why I originally got my snap on box was for either a baby changing table or a aquarium stand. But since I went with a 220 tank I don't think the snap on box would be very happy.

HaHa ...great change table!!!
I have always dealt with fish poop ...way easier then baby poop!

Tank in place with computer monitor mounted on wall...not entirely happy with monitor mounting...led monitor very bright ...may affect tank viewing or vice versa...with 4 Radion XR 30w Pros lighting the tank.
We will see:)!
Light mounting bar not in yet...anxious to get and see how light will effect monitor.
Will move monitor if I have to:)!
Tanks not going any where:)!
Contemplating mounting monitor above tank...the good thing is it would block light from Radions for viewing ..but would need to be special mounting to be able to easily move up and away for tank maintenance.
Would need to address the splash and salt issue with monitor so close to tank.

What's the monitor for?
I work from home...spend 8-12 hours a day in my office...monitor ....for boring things like work..but cool things like researching reef tanks...buying cool new tank equipment. posting and chatting on reef forums!
