Parameters are dead set stable.
Running a ULNS
Ca-430
Alk-8.0
Mag-1400
NO3- undetectable
PO4- .002
Getting great color and growth.
No nuisance algae.
No pests!

A nine month check in:

All parameters are ideal and stable.

3 months with no water changes.

Sps is growing like weeds and coloring up nicely.

Anemones are happy and colored up.

Tank is full of copepods, amphipods and tons of great microfauna.

Little update:
Parameters are spot on!
Nutrients are still low.
PO4- .002
NO3- .50 *finally getting some color in the sps!
ICP test came back ideal!
Trace Elements are spot on!
No dangerous heavy metals.
Still no water changes.
No nuisance algae or bacteria.
Everything is happy and growing.

So the reef went through a major update in the last week.
I invested in an Apex Controller and built a custom cabinet for it and my electronics well.
Waiting on a couple modules including the WXM, DOS, and FMM.
But so far the reef is running itself.
What do you think?

It was a hitchhiker on the rock it’s on. It showed up around month 8. Size of a dime. I’m assuming it’s a rainbow. Then again I don’t know.

From a HOB filter FOWLR to a full Apex controlled mixed reef.
Absolutely amazing journey.

Ok so I did a thing..
won a frag tank at Reef A Palooza and decided to plumb it to my sump and utilize it in all its glory.

Plumbed using 3/4 Durso with 3/4 pvc to the fuge. Waiting on a few parts for the return and we’re ready to splash.

This 29 has come along way since being just a FOWLR HOB filter tank.
