Running 2 mp40s at reef crest 30% in a 180.i have a UV running. 5 hydra 32s.

Your parameters are within range, you could afford a bit higher nutrients if you want. In my experience with euphyllia and fimbriophyllia, some of them do well and some slowly recede and die. I have no good explanation for it. I’ve come to look at coral husbandry like any other organic hobby - some things thrive and others don’t.

Torches in particular can be deceptively fickle.

It can also help to think back 1-2 months for clues, as many coral and other invertebrates have delayed responses to stressors.

Can you post a couple of pics of the torches under white light? Sometimes folks smarter than me can spot issues.

Also, you could try a light dusting of reef-roids or similar coral food and see if that helps perk them up.

Your nutrients are about where mine are, I'm trying to get mine up to 20ish NO3 and .09 PO4. But all my Torches have been doing well.

You should post pictures of the corals, po4 is a bit low but no3 isn't bad mines at 10 and my torches are super happy. There might be another cause than just low nutrients

Any leathers in the tank? It could also be bacterial..some kung fu coral dip could help. Lugols dip may help if caught quickly..they will recede for a day or 2 but bounce back if they aren't already too far. Pics may help...

I like the KFC dip as well but so many people have attacked using antibiotics on R2R I never suggest it anymore.

Make sure they arent getting hit with too much flow when the mp-40’s ramp up and KFC dip for a few days.

I have a toadstool in the tank that actually has been looking weird lately..like shrivelling up

I'm wondering if the torches somehow lost out to that gonipora in the background. How close do you have them to other corals? Some corals will sting each other, and that may be what's happening. Can you give us a full tank shot? I have my torches on one side, hammers and frogs on the other. My goniporas are on the bottom away from each of the others.

I would say that's due to an infection. It looks pretty far gone but maybe a dip in antibiotics. I also like to dip in peroxide right away. Sometimes you can get an infectious bacterial thing going on and it will take out torches pretty easy, they seem the most susceptible.

No I just moved the torch down to that spot after removing it from a higher area. It was close to a hammer tho..but only got close when it was thriving and full
